Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StanBid, including our website, leaderboards, creator profiles, account features, and payment-based backing functionality (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using StanBid, creating or claiming a profile, or making a payment through the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use StanBid.

1. About StanBid

StanBid is a fan-powered leaderboard for YouTube creators. Users can discover or submit YouTube channels and can voluntarily make payments to “Back” creators. Eligible Backing contributes toward a creator’s position on StanBid’s leaderboards.

StanBid is currently operated from India by an individual. StanBid is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by YouTube or Google.

2. What “Backing” means

A “Back” is a voluntary paid action that increases the eligible backing total associated with a creator on StanBid.

Backing a creator is not a payment, tip, or donation to that creator.

Creators do not currently receive any portion of amounts paid by users to Back them. Subject to amounts handled, deducted, refunded, withheld, or otherwise processed by our payment provider, the proceeds from Backing are retained by StanBid.

Backing does not give you:

• ownership, shares, equity, or any other interest in StanBid or a creator;
• any right to receive money, profit, interest, dividends, or other financial returns;
• any prize, winnings, or monetary reward;
• any right to repayment merely because a creator’s ranking changes;
• ownership or control of the creator’s content or channel;
• any promise of access, recognition, communication, content, products, or services from the creator; or
• any other financial interest in the performance or popularity of a creator.

You should Back a creator only if you voluntarily want to support that creator’s position on the StanBid leaderboards and can afford the amount you choose to spend.

3. Leaderboards

All-Time Leaderboard

The All-Time Leaderboard ranks creators based on their cumulative eligible Backing recorded by StanBid.

Weekly Leaderboard

The Weekly Leaderboard ranks creators based on eligible Backing recorded during the immediately preceding seven days. This is a rolling seven-day period, not a fixed calendar week.

The relevant period continuously updates over time, so Backing that occurred more than seven days ago will cease to count toward the Weekly Leaderboard while remaining part of the creator’s All-Time Backing total. As a result, Weekly Leaderboard totals and positions may increase or decrease as new Backing is recorded and older Backing falls outside the rolling seven-day period.

Ranking adjustments

StanBid may exclude, reverse, adjust, recalculate, or remove Backing from leaderboard totals where reasonably necessary, including because of:

• refunds;
• chargebacks or payment disputes;
• cancelled, reversed, or failed transactions;
• fraud or suspected fraud;
• payment-processing errors;
• duplicate transactions;
• technical errors;
• abuse or manipulation of the Service; or
• violations of these Terms.

Displayed rankings or Backing totals may occasionally be delayed or inaccurate due to technical or payment-processing issues. StanBid may correct such errors. No creator is guaranteed any particular position or continued position on a leaderboard.

4. Creator submissions and unverified profiles

Anyone may submit an eligible YouTube channel for inclusion on StanBid. A creator does not need to have created, requested, approved, or endorsed an unverified StanBid profile.

An Unverified profile means that the creator or channel owner has not yet completed StanBid’s verification process. Unverified profiles may be subject to restrictions, including limits on the maximum leaderboard position they can hold.

The presence of a creator or channel on StanBid does not imply that the creator uses StanBid, has an account with StanBid, has approved their listing, has received money from StanBid, or endorses or has any relationship with StanBid.

We may remove, merge, correct, restrict, or modify creator listings where reasonably necessary, including in response to duplicate listings, incorrect information, impersonation, rights complaints, or abuse.

5. Claiming and verifying a creator profile

A creator may be able to claim a profile by signing in through Google and authorizing the permissions required for StanBid to verify control of the relevant YouTube channel.

StanBid uses authorized Google/YouTube account information for verification and related functionality as described in our Privacy Policy. StanBid does not receive your Google password.

Unless clearly requested and separately authorized, StanBid does not use profile verification to upload videos, publish content, delete content, or otherwise manage your YouTube channel on your behalf.

Verification indicates that StanBid has verified control of the relevant channel using our available verification process. It is not an endorsement or certification of the creator or their content. You may not attempt to claim a channel that you do not own or control.

6. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make a Backing payment, create an account, or claim a creator profile on StanBid.

By doing so, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and are legally permitted to use the Service and make the applicable payment in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of StanBid complies with laws applicable to you.

7. Payments

Backing payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, currently Dodo Payments. Where applicable, Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record for transactions processed through its platform. Your transaction may therefore also be subject to Dodo Payments’ applicable buyer terms, payment terms, and policies.

StanBid does not directly store complete payment-card details provided to the payment processor. You choose the amount you wish to Back, subject to any minimum, maximum, currency, risk, or transaction restrictions imposed by StanBid or our payment provider.

StanBid may impose transaction limits or request additional verification to prevent fraud, abuse, accidental payments, or other risks. A displayed maximum or warning designed to detect unusually large transactions does not create an obligation for StanBid to accept transactions of any particular size.

8. Currencies and displayed amounts

StanBid may allow payments and display Backing totals in multiple currencies, including INR and USD. Where Backing made in different currencies must be compared or displayed on a common leaderboard, StanBid may convert amounts into a common reference currency using an exchange rate or conversion methodology selected by StanBid or provided by a third-party service or payment provider.

Exchange rates fluctuate. As a result, the leaderboard value attributed to a payment may differ from a later conversion of the same nominal amount. StanBid may update its currency conversion methodology where reasonably necessary.

Any applicable taxes, payment-processing costs, foreign-exchange charges, or other transaction-related amounts may be handled by the payment provider in accordance with the transaction presented to you.

9. Refunds, reversals, and chargebacks

Because a Back affects the leaderboard after payment, Backing transactions are generally intended to be final once successfully completed, except where a refund is required by applicable law or permitted under our Refund Policy or the applicable payment provider’s policies.

If a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, cancelled, found to be fraudulent, or otherwise invalidated, StanBid may remove the corresponding amount from any affected leaderboard totals. This may cause a creator’s ranking to decrease.

If you believe a payment was unauthorized or made in error, please contact us promptly. Nothing in these Terms excludes any refund, cancellation, chargeback, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. No financial return, prize, or chance-based outcome

Backing does not provide a financial return to the backer. StanBid does not award a backer money or a prize based on the subsequent ranking or performance of the creator they Back.

Leaderboard positions are determined by eligible Backing activity and applicable leaderboard rules, rather than by a random draw or chance-based selection. Nothing offered through Backing constitutes an investment, security, deposit, savings product, loan, or ownership interest.

11. Prohibited conduct

You may not use StanBid to:

• commit fraud or facilitate fraudulent transactions;
• launder money or engage in unlawful financial activity;
• use stolen or unauthorized payment methods;
• manipulate payment activity or leaderboard totals;
• coordinate fraudulent Backing transactions;
• abuse refunds or chargebacks;
• circumvent transaction, account, geographic, security, or rate limits;
• use bots, scripts, automated systems, or other mechanisms to interfere with the Service without our authorization;
• attempt to claim a creator profile you do not own or control;
• impersonate another person or creator;
• knowingly submit materially false or misleading channel information;
• interfere with the operation or security of StanBid;
• attempt unauthorized access to StanBid’s systems, accounts, APIs, or infrastructure;
• scrape or extract data from StanBid in a manner that materially burdens the Service or violates applicable law;
• use StanBid to harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or harm another person; or
• use StanBid for any activity prohibited by applicable law.

We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable measures to protect StanBid, its users, creators, payment providers, and third parties.

12. Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining the security of the accounts and authentication methods you use to access StanBid. You must not intentionally provide false information when creating an account or claiming a creator profile. Please contact us promptly if you believe your StanBid account or claimed creator profile has been compromised.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to StanBid where reasonably necessary, including where we believe these Terms have been violated; an account or transaction is fraudulent; a creator profile has been improperly claimed; continued access creates a security, legal, payment, or operational risk; we are required to do so by law or by a payment/service provider; or action is reasonably necessary to protect StanBid, creators, users, or third parties.

Where appropriate, we may also remove or restrict creator profiles or invalidate affected leaderboard activity.

14. Creator names, images, trademarks, and content

Creator names, channel names, profile images, trademarks, videos, logos, and other creator-related materials may belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on StanBid does not mean that StanBid owns those materials or that the creator endorses StanBid.

We may use publicly available channel information and information made available through authorized integrations for purposes such as identifying creators, displaying profiles, operating the leaderboard, and verifying channel ownership, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.

If you are a creator or rights holder and believe a StanBid listing infringes your rights or contains incorrect information, contact us at stanbid.support@gmail.com with sufficient information for us to investigate the request.

15. StanBid intellectual property

Except for third-party content and creator-related materials, StanBid and its software, branding, design, functionality, databases, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of StanBid and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of StanBid or its intellectual property to you.

16. Third-party services

StanBid depends on third-party services, which may include Google, YouTube, payment providers, hosting providers, analytics services, infrastructure providers, and other technology providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. StanBid is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, including their availability, outages, policies, or independent actions.

17. Service availability and changes

StanBid is an evolving service. We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features, leaderboard rules, verification requirements, currencies, payment options, ranking methodologies, or other parts of the Service. We may also perform maintenance or experience outages.

We do not guarantee that StanBid will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular creator, ranking, feature, or historical leaderboard data will remain available indefinitely. Where a change materially affects a transaction already completed, we will handle that transaction subject to applicable law and these Terms.

18. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, StanBid is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or free from errors.

StanBid rankings represent activity measured according to our leaderboard system. They are not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or assessment by StanBid of a creator’s content, character, popularity, trustworthiness, or quality. We are not responsible for statements, conduct, content, products, services, or actions of creators merely because they appear on StanBid.

Nothing in these Terms limits warranties, guarantees, or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StanBid and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from or relating to your use of the Service, including loss resulting from leaderboard changes, service interruptions, third-party services, creator conduct, or loss of data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StanBid’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a particular paid transaction will not exceed the amount you paid in connection with the transaction giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

20. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless StanBid and its operator from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your intentional misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, fraudulent activity, or unlawful conduct.

This section does not require you to indemnify StanBid for liability caused solely by StanBid’s own unlawful conduct where such liability cannot legally be transferred to you.

21. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you connect a Google or YouTube account, information received through that integration will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Google/YouTube requirements.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as StanBid develops or where changes are necessary because of legal, regulatory, security, payment-provider, or operational requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate or legally required, provide additional notice.

Changes will apply prospectively from their effective date unless applicable law requires otherwise. Continued use of StanBid after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by applicable law.

23. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any consumer rights or jurisdictional protections that cannot legally be waived, disputes relating to these Terms or StanBid will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising rights or using dispute-resolution mechanisms available to them under applicable law.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

25. No waiver

If StanBid does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

26. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and StanBid regarding your use of the Service, subject to any additional terms presented for a specific feature or transaction.
