Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StanBid (“StanBid,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the StanBid website, leaderboards, creator profiles, account features, and Backing functionality (collectively, the “Service”). StanBid is operated from India by an individual.

1. Information we collect

A. Creator and channel information

When someone submits a YouTube channel to StanBid, we may collect and store:

• the creator or channel name entered by the submitter;
• the resolved YouTube channel ID; and
• the channel handle or custom URL, where available.

The submitter-provided name may remain displayed until the creator successfully claims and verifies the profile.

When a creator claims a profile, StanBid may update the profile using verified YouTube channel information, including the official channel display name, channel ID, handle, and avatar URL.

Anyone may submit an eligible YouTube channel. This means a creator profile may appear on StanBid before the creator has created an account, claimed the profile, approved the listing, or otherwise interacted with StanBid.

B. Google account and YouTube information

If you sign in with Google to claim or verify a creator profile, StanBid may receive basic Google account information made available through authentication, such as your name, email address, Google profile picture, and Google account identifier.

For YouTube channel verification, StanBid requests read-only access to YouTube data and reads only the channel information needed to identify and verify the channel being claimed.

From the YouTube API response, StanBid currently reads:

• the YouTube channel ID;
• the channel display name;
• the channel handle or custom URL, where available; and
• a channel avatar URL, where available.

StanBid does not currently read or use other channel information such as channel descriptions, subscriber counts, view counts, video statistics, uploads playlists, or other YouTube analytics or channel statistics.

At channel submission time, StanBid may store the submitted channel’s YouTube channel ID and handle while keeping the submitter-provided display name. When a creator successfully claims a profile, StanBid may update the profile using verified YouTube information, including the channel ID, handle, avatar URL, and official channel display name.

StanBid uses this information to verify channel ownership or control, associate the correct YouTube channel with the StanBid profile, and display verified creator information. StanBid does not receive your Google password.

StanBid’s YouTube access is read-only. StanBid does not use this authorization to upload, edit, publish, delete, or otherwise manage videos or channel content. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements.

C. Payment and transaction information

Backing payments are currently processed through Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record where applicable. Complete card numbers and card security codes are provided to and handled by the payment provider rather than being directly stored by StanBid.

We may receive and store transaction-related information necessary to operate the Service, such as payment or transaction reference identifiers, Backing amount, currency, payment status, timestamps, the creator or leaderboard entry associated with the Back, refund/reversal/chargeback status, and other limited transaction information reasonably necessary for payment reconciliation, fraud prevention, customer support, or operation of the leaderboard.

D. Account and session information

When you sign in, we may use cookies or similar authentication technologies to maintain your session so that you do not need to authenticate on every page. These technologies may contain or reference identifiers necessary to authenticate your session and maintain account security.

E. Technical and security information

When you access StanBid, we or service providers supporting the operation of StanBid may process limited technical information such as IP address, request timestamps, browser or device information, server and security logs, and information associated with suspicious, abusive, or unusually frequent requests. We use this information where reasonably necessary to operate and secure StanBid, including for rate limiting, fraud prevention, debugging, and protection against abuse.

This also includes aggregate traffic information collected by Umami, an analytics provider — see “Umami” in Section 4 below for more detail.

2. How we use information

We may use information collected through StanBid to:

• operate and display the StanBid leaderboards;
• create and display creator profiles;
• process creator submissions;
• authenticate users;
• verify ownership or control of YouTube channels;
• distinguish verified and unverified creator profiles;
• associate Backing transactions with the correct creator;
• calculate All-Time and rolling seven-day leaderboard totals;
• process and reconcile payments, refunds, reversals, and chargebacks;
• respond to support, privacy, payment, and creator-profile requests;
• detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and manipulation;
• enforce our Terms of Service and other policies;
• maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• comply with applicable legal obligations; and
• protect StanBid, its users, creators, payment providers, and others.

We do not use Google/YouTube authorization to post to or manage your YouTube channel.

3. Public leaderboard information

StanBid is a public leaderboard. Creator-related information, including creator names, profile information, verification status, rankings, and eligible Backing totals, may therefore be publicly visible.

Backing contributes to public leaderboard totals. StanBid does not need to publicly display a backer’s payment-card information or other sensitive payment credentials in order to operate the leaderboard. A creator appearing on StanBid does not necessarily mean that the creator has created an account, claimed the profile, endorsed StanBid, or received any Backing proceeds.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or allow processing of information where reasonably necessary to operate StanBid, including with:

Google and YouTube

We use Google services for authentication and YouTube channel verification. Information processed through Google and YouTube is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.

Dodo Payments

We use Dodo Payments for payment processing and Merchant of Record services where applicable. Dodo Payments may independently collect and process payment, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and transaction information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Umami

We use Umami (an analytics provider) to understand aggregate website traffic, such as page views and referring sources. Umami’s tracking does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Infrastructure and service providers

Information may be processed by hosting, database, security, email, infrastructure, or other technology providers that we use to operate StanBid. We provide or permit access to information only as reasonably necessary for those providers to perform services on our behalf or support operation of StanBid.

Legal and safety purposes

We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful governmental request; investigate fraud or unlawful activity; enforce our Terms or policies; protect the security or integrity of StanBid; or protect the rights, property, or safety of StanBid, our users, creators, or others.

5. Cookies

StanBid may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, account security, and operation of the Service. For example, after signing in, a session cookie may be used to keep you authenticated as you navigate StanBid.

If StanBid later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies, this Privacy Policy and any required consent mechanisms should be updated accordingly.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operation of StanBid, security, payment reconciliation, dispute resolution, accounting, enforcement of our Terms, and compliance with legal obligations. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

Where information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

7. Account deletion and historical leaderboard records

You may request deletion of personal information associated with your StanBid account by contacting us at stanbid.support@gmail.com. Where applicable, we will delete or anonymize information that we are not required or otherwise permitted to retain.

Deleting an account does not necessarily require StanBid to erase the fact that a valid historical Backing transaction occurred. We may retain transaction records where reasonably necessary for accounting, payment reconciliation, fraud prevention, chargebacks, disputes, legal compliance, or maintaining the integrity of historical leaderboard calculations.

Deletion of a creator’s account also does not necessarily require deletion of publicly available information about the underlying YouTube channel or historical leaderboard records.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the ability to request access, correction, deletion of eligible information, information about how your information is processed, or withdrawal of consent where legally available.

To make a privacy request, contact stanbid.support@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law, including records necessary for fraud prevention, accounting, payment disputes, legal claims, or compliance obligations.

9. Google account access and revocation

If you have connected your Google account to StanBid, you can revoke StanBid’s access through your Google account’s permissions or security settings. Revoking Google access may prevent certain features, including channel verification or account functionality, from continuing to work.

Revoking access does not necessarily delete information already lawfully stored by StanBid. You may separately request deletion of eligible StanBid account information by contacting us.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet service, database, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own accounts and authentication methods. If you believe your StanBid account has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

11. Age requirement

StanBid’s account, creator-claiming, and Backing features are intended for people who are at least 18 years old, consistent with our Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, claim a creator profile, or make a Backing payment through StanBid.

If we learn that personal information has been collected through an account from a person who was not eligible to create that account, we may take appropriate steps to restrict the account and delete eligible information, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.

12. International processing

StanBid is operated from India, while some of our service providers may operate infrastructure or process information in other countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country in which you are located. Where applicable, we will handle such processing in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

13. Third-party services and links

StanBid may contain links to YouTube creator channels or other third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy applies to StanBid. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of Google, YouTube, Dodo Payments, creators, or other third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services you use.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as StanBid develops or where changes are necessary because of legal, regulatory, security, payment-provider, or operational requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
